Northwest Pool Association (NWPA) Terms of Service
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
Welcome to the Northwest Pool Association ("NWPA," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our website, www.playnwpa.com (the "Website"), or purchasing our memberships, tournament entries, or other services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Website or Services.
1. Eligibility
To use our Services, you must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent if you are a minor. By using our Services, you represent that you meet this requirement.
2. Memberships and Fees
NWPA offers a membership plan, which provide exclusive benefits such as discounted tournament entries and other perks.
Membership fees must be paid in full, and the player’s membership must be active, prior to the start of an event for points earned at that event to count toward NWPA standings.
Membership benefits, including event points, are not retroactive. Points from events played prior to a membership becoming active will not be awarded or added at a later date.
Membership fees are refundable based on meeting requirements set (Refund Policy) and subject to change at NWPA’s discretion.
Memberships are personal and non-transferable.
3. Tournaments and Entry Fees
NWPA hosts various tournaments which are open to both members and non-members.
Entry fees are required to participate and must be paid in full before the event.
Tournament fees are refundable based on meeting requirements set (Refund Policy) and subject to change at NWPA’s discretion.
NWPA reserves the right to refuse entry or disqualify participants who violate tournament rules or display unsportsmanlike conduct.
NWPA reserves the right to cancel, postpone, relocate, or modify an event when circumstances make it necessary or when the safety, feasibility, or successful operation of the event may be affected. Reasons may include, but are not limited to:
Insufficient player entries or failure to meet the minimum number of players required to reasonably operate the event;
Severe weather;
Wildfires, smoke, poor air quality, or other environmental conditions;
Natural disasters;
Venue closures or venue-related issues;
Government restrictions or emergencies; or
Other circumstances beyond NWPA’s reasonable control.
Players and attendees are responsible for making their own travel and accommodation arrangements. NWPA is not responsible for hotel, Airbnb, vacation rental, transportation, or other travel-related costs, deposits, cancellation fees, or losses incurred as a result of an event being cancelled, postponed, relocated, or otherwise changed, regardless of the reason for the cancellation or change, including insufficient player entries.
Players are encouraged to review the cancellation policies of their accommodation and travel providers and, where possible, select refundable or flexible booking options.
Any tournament entry fees affected by an NWPA event cancellation will be handled in accordance with the NWPA Refund Policy.
4. Code of Conduct
All users and participants are expected to:
Treat other members, players, and NWPA staff with respect.
Abide by all NWPA tournament rules and regulations.
Refrain from cheating, harassment, or any other misconduct that may disrupt the integrity of our events or community.
